How do I know ?

how do I know if my car needs a timing belt , if my car has a chain .does it mean I dont need to change it till it breaks .. and if it breaks wat can happen to my car ... will I have an accident or wat? and where can I find timing belt in the car ?

Car detail is as follow:

Mazda 1996 626 106,000MILEHow do I know ?
Replace a belt if you don't know when it was changed last. It is located on the right side of your engine compartment behind a plastic cover behind the other car belts. Remove this cover with a Phillips screwdriver or 10 mm socket to inspect it. A broken belt can cause a $1600 Valve and head resurfacing job. An accident will depend on your ability to control the car with a frozen engine. A $200 timing belt job is well worth the lack of headaches it could become. I know out of personal experience.

Good Luck and hope this helpsHow do I know ?
call the parts dept...geezzzze most cars call 4 belt at 60.000 to 80,000 ...chains u dont changeHow do I know ?
Timing belts should be changed @ about 90,000 miles.. you will notice, it will spudder and just act funny or sometimes stall.. i would get it replaced if you haven't in those 106,000 miles. How do I know ?
ask a dealership if you're car has a belt or chain. If it's a belt, they can tell you at what mileage to change it.How do I know ?
autozoneHow do I know ?
The belt should be chanced now. They are normally changed at 60,000 miles.

If the belt breaks at highway speed, the engine will be destroyed. May or may not cause a traffic accident, depending on how well you handle the emergency.

A belt breaking at speed will definitely cause an accident in your jeans :) .How do I know ?
If its a California car, it should have been replaced @ 105,000 miles. If it's a 49 state car, 60,000 miles. If your timing belt breaks, you have an interference engine. You will most likely to damage your valves and pistons (that's $$$$$$ in plain English), and your car will stop running.

HOW MUCH WOULD MY LIFE CHANGE IF I HAD A BABY?

I won't know if im pregnant until 2 weeks time, theres a good chance i am as i had unprotected sex, where the guy ejaculated in me on the day i was most fertile. i'm 16, almost 17 going to college next month to study travel and tourism. i was just thinking ahead and wondering if theres anyone out there whose had a baby at a simular age and how much did it change their life. i want to move to turkey after my course has ended and get a job as a holiday rep or something to do with the hotel chain. but will i be able to acheive this if i have a baby? i would have an abortion if i cant carry out any of my dreams. i know thats selfish but if i was to have the baby the dad is not going to be involved. he blames it all on me that i could be pregnant and he said i have to get rid of it otherwise he's not going to be involved. so i think its best if it did turn out im pregnant to get rid of it? help please! no judgingHOW MUCH WOULD MY LIFE CHANGE IF I HAD A BABY?
You have no idea how much time good parenting takes and if you don't have a partner it is all you. No time for studying, hanging out with your friends - it is a time consuming job.

Oh yeah - why do you want to be involved with someone who says they will dump you if you are pregnant? Sounds like a peach of a guy!

Birth control. It works wonders.HOW MUCH WOULD MY LIFE CHANGE IF I HAD A BABY?
Well im not going to tell you how much its going to change your life, considering the fact that you would kill a little baby jsut because things arent going to be about YOU anymore. A baby isnt something that you just %26quot;get rid of%26quot; its a human being too and your just acting like its a piece of trash, if it gets in your way your just goin to throw it away, thats how your acting. If you cant handle what can come out of sex then you dont need to be having sex and you really need to quit being so selfish. Abortion is NOT a form of birth control. Dont want a baby? Dont spread your legs or have protectionHOW MUCH WOULD MY LIFE CHANGE IF I HAD A BABY?
its not a huge change, your life doesnt just do a 360 and you dont just have to give your life up like alot of people say. yes you do have a child to care for and look after and you have to do more family things as well but you dont have to give up your life. we are expecting and yes i did have to put things on hold until the baby i fully plan on continuing life after shes here. she'll just have to come with me and my husband will have to babysit alot lol but it doesnt just ruin your goals. anything you can do before a baby you can do after

How simple is it to change the view from your kitchen window?

I sipped my mornings coffee

the window I stared through.

Asphalt same as yesterday

I wish I could change the view.

I saw a boy named Toby

he lives just up the street.

He spends more time pushing his bike

then sitting in the seat.

A group of kids raced past him

as he fumbled with his chain.

I remember being an eight year old

I felt this child’s pain.

My words “do you need a hand?”

were met with a six toothed smile.

We pushed it into my garage

we worked and talked awhile.

I learned he had a pet rabbit

Its name, I recall was Bear

that Bear, himself and his three sisters

all had reddish hair.

I straightened both of the rims

by turning each and every spoke.

I adjusted the seat and handlebars

As he told a knock knock joke.

He asked if I could make it go faster

my lecture on gear ratio brought a stare.

We searched my cabinet for lightning grease

I told him his next race wouldn’t be fair.

The bike all back together

we shook hands and said goodbye.

Now outside my window

a smiling streak of red …races by.How simple is it to change the view from your kitchen window?

How to change gears: how does the left index shifter works on a bike?

Hi there!

I got a second hand salcano 18 shimano gears bike and I have no idea about how the left index shifter works.

The bike has got two twisting shifters. The one on the right is linked to the back derrailer and it has numbers. This is the common shifter.

But the left one has got little hyphens (stops) and only two letters at the ends H and L which I suppose tand for Nigh and Low.

So I have two questions;

1. Is there a specific order to change gears? So first the right numbered shifter and then the other one? Or both at the same time?

2. To go straight (not up or down) which gears would you recommend? high numbers on the right shifter and closer to Low on the left shifter?

I just dont seem to get the right combination of both and it rattles. I have read that normally one needs to keep the chain close or far away from oneself, but both from the same ends/derrailers. That if one is closer or further than the other, then the rattling starts. There are some videos online about shifting gears but they only explain numbered shifters, no indexed ones.

If someone knows, please help this dummy cyclist :)

Thank you!!How to change gears: how does the left index shifter works on a bike?
For the left shifter low is the smallest chain ring same as 1 the largest is 3 or high gear. Use the center gear or 2 most of the time. On the rear the largest sprocket is 1.

Most riding use 2 left and any gear 1-6 on the rear.

Climbing hills use the smallest front 1 and 1-3 on the rear.

Going fast or down hill use the largest chain ring on the front 3 and 4-6 on the rear.

Using the smallest or largest gears at the same time causes the chain to run at an angle. That is hard on the chain and sprockets and wastes energy.

  • Prince Charles complaining about climate change, isn't that like Bono preaching about poverty?

Prince Charles, he's had more Aston Martins, private jet flights, and range rovers than 99.9% of the population, and I'm pretty sure none of his residencys are ever left cold and unlit. Now he's complaining about climate change, and how we must do something about it! Surely this is akin to Bono preaching about poverty. Do they not realise that it's their actions at the top that cause more impact than those at the bottom. Prince Charles' carbon footprint is probably bigger than his ears, MASSIVE, probably 100 times the size of a normal mans (as IS his carbon footprint). Bono could give 99% of his wealth away and still be a millionaire, but he's happy to whinge about poverty. It's excessive greed higher up the food chain that causes it. I'm happy with it, I am high enough up the foodchain to not complain, I have wonderful holidays, a lot of income and nice cars, so I think it would be hypocrytical of me to whinge about poverty, and I'm probably 400 times less wealthy than Bono

So should prince charles put a sock in it and start addressing his own contribution to climate change before preaching to others?Prince Charles complaining about climate change, isn%26039;t that like Bono preaching about poverty?
Digger, you provided no links and don't seem particularly aware of how strongly Prince Charles advocates for environmental issues.

    A quote prominently featured on his website, a section of which is linked below: %26quot;If we lose the battle against tropical deforestation, we lose the battle against climate change.%26quot;

So I think Charles can keep his socks where they belong, and he should keep up the good work he's been doing for years. I'd rather have a few Bonos and Charles than all the pols and stars who drench themselves in excess and don't lift a finger to help the world around them. And how, BTW, do you contribute to helping your fellow man? This seems relevant since you're casting disparaging marks elsewhere.Prince Charles complaining about climate change, isn%26039;t that like Bono preaching about poverty?
All I need say, %26quot;The higher they are the harder they fall%26quot; and the fall will come.Prince Charles complaining about climate change, isn%26039;t that like Bono preaching about poverty?
Prince Charles obviously doesn't understand that there is no peer review data that supports so called man made global warming or do the ecoterrorists call it climate change now?Prince Charles complaining about climate change, isn%26039;t that like Bono preaching about poverty?
YESPrince Charles complaining about climate change, isn%26039;t that like Bono preaching about poverty?
Prince Charles is carbon neutral... And with that I think we're done here.

I dont know how to make friends.?

okay, i know that sounds a little sad, but its true.

i can start off a friendship pretty well, talking, sharing the spotlight, making people like me etc...

but after a while everyone that i have ever been friends with has made sure that i am not a tall poppy, that i am the bottom of the food chain in terms of respect amongst friends.

insults and small joking punches is usually how it starts, because i seem to have become a pacifist in recent years, and i have never been good at comebacks to nasty remarks, joking or not.

the next step is actual attacks at my status in the group, or calling me gay and spreading rumours.

then, finally, people start to copy what the others are doing and soon after i am universally either hated or disrespected by every single one of my friends.

this has been going on all my life, and i have changed schools seven times due to these issues. i am sixteen this year.

i am generally pleased with myself, i dont consider myself to be amazingly attractive, only average. i believe myself to have an average intellect, enough to hold an intelligent conversation but not enough to pass eleventh grade physics. i am a patriotic australian, i occasionally drink alcohol to excess, and i have had three girlfriends since sixth grade. i never make a big deal out of anything, and i am rather loud and passionate in conversations involving opinions.

can you think of anything i can do that might help me make friends that respect me for more than six months at a time?I dont know how to make friends.?
You are doing something wrong, if you want long-term friends, but cannot keep them (remember, not everyone wants or needs long-term friends. It`s not a given).

It sounds to me as if you take yourself too seriously. And this might be your archille`s heel that they hone in on. You should learn to relax and laugh at yourself occasionally: just don`t take things so seriously.

So when you lose these `friends` who actually loses who? Do you lose them, or do they lose you!?

What I mean is, at what stage do you think you have lost them - why this decision. Why don`t you just have fun and stick around with them anyway?I dont know how to make friends.?
they dont know how...to make frineds with u i guess

plus that u chose wrong peopleI dont know how to make friends.?
I see a problem with a person drinking to excess. Also everyone has an opinion, but getting loud is not a way to make a point. I feel if you respect yourself and others you should be able to sustain a friendship. If these people start rumors about you they may not be worth having as friends. Good luck and don't get discouraged.I dont know how to make friends.?
I used to get laughed at too and I was unable to know how to answer them. Ignoring them is probably the best you can do, but if it gets too bad, I suggest you talk to the dean or your counselor, because that's what they are there for. It's probaby time to talk to them already.

Besides that pray. Pray all the time. Don't try to get attention that might bring on laughing. Just be yourself and pray before you leave for school. Meditate on the word of God. Read 1 chapter in Psalm every morning before going to school. Another thing to read is Starting Your Day Right,%26quot; by Joyce Meyer.
